Had 10 year old cow do something like that about a month ago on a Friday. Vet repacked her and stitched her. Said maybe a month from calving. Keep eye on her. She was straining Monday but no sign of calf. Called vet. He checked her and found dead calf coming backwards. Got fully developed calf out fairly easy. Cow never missed a beat and is doing fine. Got some calves to sell soon and she will go too.
