Don't.
A SSD is the single greatest thing you can do to boost your PC's performance. Hands down, without question, I would take a machine with 4GB of RAM and a SSD hard drive over 16GB RAM and a hard drive. Without hesitation.
Unless your usage pattern is such that you were continuously thrashing pagefile (a distinct possibility with 4GB of RAM), the SSD will yield more performance.
Be sure to check that your SATA adapter is set to AHCI mode before windows installation. AHCI mode has several performance advantages over standard IDE mode, but changing modes after windows has been installed (and thus your system has selected AHCI or standard IDE storage drivers) will typically give windows a bellyache. |
