We have little real control over our selling price (other than too be average or a little better) and the same for inputs. Were there is a choice is land & machinery . I don't think anybody should blame LL as either we or neighbors drove the price , but you have choices ,don't rent land that will lose you money and unless you can afford the payments don't buy land at a high price hoping for inflation too bail you out.The real hurt for us farmers will be felt in 3-54 yrs. when you may be hoping for a $4 in front of the corn price. The last 1/2 dozen yrs. is not normal for grain prices.
