Subject: Is $4.00 corn burning up your cash?

I just took ALL my expenses (capital, etc.) incurred over this past year from my farming operation and applied my true corn yield of 183 bpa against them.  As far as cash goes, 4 dollars is a break even.  Anything lower than 4 dollars will require either dipping into savings or the borrowing of more operating.  Plain and simple.  Although this 4 dollar bench mark on corn will improve my balance sheet, there will be some cuts made to expenses in 2015.  A side note:  Corn is all we produced in 2014 in our farming operation.
