I always like to share the story the first year I had oil service business I paid out 750k in wages to employees. These were NEW jobs created by new oil. These guys would have never worked for me had oil not been produced. They would have stayed where they were from but they saw an opportunity and a chance to increase their personal wealth and came here. It wasn't taking from someone else's pie it was dividing up a brand new undiscovered piece if econic pie. Farms expand and contract at expense of other farms. The oil here is like uncovering 10000 acres everyday of prime farm land out up on bids for someone to add too.
This is real growth here. Not robbing peter to pay Paul. Real economic growth. Is it perfect no but it is real. | |
