Subject: RE: Geothermal furnace supplemental heat?

NW MN
Like others said it is supposed to run all the time. I am going with lp backup furnace with geo on off peak. 5.3 cents off peak vs 10.4 cents main line. Average off peak is off 150 hours per year. Plus all summer I cool house at half price. In floor basement and garage and forced air main level. Went with lp vs electric back up incase of power grid failure. REA put up most lines in '50's and terrorists will probable hit grid. I can run lp on small generator. Wood stove sitting in quonset can install quickly if needed after World ends... I can always switch geo to main line power if not happy with off peak.
