You should be able to add a supplementary source into your air ducts fairly simple, even a small NG forced air furnance might be viable option, if you have gas. Something else to consider is your blower motor/ducting. Your solution could be as simple as swapping to a different blower motor or modifying your ducts to quiet things down. I have a friend who heats with wood ( heat source shouldnt't matter when it comes to the noise,still has the rads in the air ducts), and you have to try really really hard to hear the fan running . Fan runs 100% of the time.
