Warburg, AB | You should draw a Venn diagram of the farm, and see where everything fits. You get your stuff/land/production, same for him, and the bulk of it is shared. See what fits where and figure out a plan for 1,3,5,10 years down the road. That way you can shift things from one area to another as future plans change. Trust and respect comes first for succession planning. If your father is unwilling knowing you have an interest then you are wasting your time. Otherwise it's a team effort. Show/tell him what you would like to do to continue on with his legacy.
