| I use to dry a lot of high moisture corn. There is no set percentage for corn that is high moisture. 1.3 % per point at 20%, then 1.4% until about 25%, then 1.7 until 30%, above that amount each load of 30% corn had it own percentage. Some that was not mature would lose 2.5% per point. The real point I am making corn over 30% is very tough to adjust to dry weight without someone weighting the dry corn. Even the different corns would change the dry weight. Around here, everyone wants 14% or 14.5 % corn or you get a deduction. | |
