Another reason is The "corvette effect" Every one wants a corvette. For people that buy corvettes, price isn't the overriding factor. Farmers love having that "corvette" farm in their possession. It's not THE factor but it does factor in. It's also one of those reasons that guys buy farms that "don't cash flow".... Some guys just want high quality black dirt instead of a fancy ass sports car or a giant mansion, price is secondary and it becomes a validation of success in agriculture..(at least to them)
