I was cutting lowland grass hay the other day and was thinking about this:

lets say 20 grand gets you 200bu average (heart of corn belt) and 4 grand gets you 100bu average (fringe). Why is 200bu land that much different in price? Can it just be that it is half the land to go over (till, seed, fert, spray, time...) to get the same # of bushels at the end of the day? That's all I could come up with. Any other ideas?
