Central Texas
Would not run all thru chute but would watch like a hawk. When one shows even the least sign of not feeling well/off feed would then IMMEDIATELY treat with either draxxin, zactran or zuprevo. As calves don't seem to show as rapid response to those drugs, would also give 2 cc/100 baytril at same time. This combo is the best I've found for bringing them back. Seems the addition of this small dose of baytril will do the job when nothing else will. Would also suggest vaccinating for mycoplasma as it seems to rear its ugly head this time of year. Prefer a custom made autogenous vaccine if you can find a vet that has 1 made for your area. If not available would still use a stock vaccine. Also vaccinate for pasturella if not already. I use Vista Once SQ. Seems to me, the heat of summer is as bad health wise as the fall.

Just another 2 cents worth.
