swohio | I'll give my take on this. Last spring I let my cereal rye head out to try and dry the ground out as much as possible. For me, BIG MISTAKE! Whatever is on that head at that time fly's right off and into tractor radiator. Now I do like it tall, after you plant, makes a great ground cover. For me, I'm going to kill as late as I can before it heads out. Hope to planting way before that, but the way its going now, not sure about that. But unless you like cleaning out that radiator every few rounds, kill it before or after there is nothing left on that head to fly off. | |
