If its the voltage you can adjust the voltage regulator in most cases to help. SCR fired loads will also affect the generators voltage regulator in some cases. The regulator can be sensing distortion that is feeding back from the load. Adding resistive load such as a oven or clothes dryer can help with this.
If the frequency is fluctuating than you need to look at the engine governor. | |
