Make sure your pto drive line is in perfect alignment. If the tractor pto shaft and the generator input shaft are not perfectly parallel side to side and top to bottom, the drive line will speed up and slow down on each revolution. I wouldn't have believed it, but we had a demo at diesel technical school that showed vividly what happens when you get a pto out of line. Both pto knuckles need to be going over center at the exact same instant (in opposite directions) in order to cancel each other out.
