Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | kjs3 - 12/20/2012 20:11 Generator is 1000rpm pto attached to a jd 8210 tractor. 55 kw. Has a proper electrical service disconnect and connection . It hasn't been used for several months ,it worked good last time.
I agree, that it seems to be more of a tractor issue.
Not familiar with those newer tractors, but are there any different settings for PTO uses? (could it be set differently, from when you used the generator the last time?)
Are there RPM sensors used for the PTO, when it is turned on? If so, could that sensor be acting up?
Note: Had to run a 25 KW generator, today, for 7 hours ,with old JD 4020 = ran smooth, with very light load.
