Northern Illinois
oh I see. Above when you write about living within your means and having a budget what you really mean is that employees need to do those things but if business owners can't live within their means or when they don't write a budget and stick to that budget it is the employees fault that they did not control costs. Living within your means and sticking to a budget goes both ways. Again the Miami Heat are obligated to pay James over $17 million because they AGREED to pay him that. The Big 3 have the labor costs that they do because they AGREED to pay that. Your local school teachers make what they do because the school boards AGREED to pay them that. ALL EMPLOYEES MAKE WHAT THEY DO BECAUSE THE PERSON OR PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR SETTING THE WAGE AGREED TO PAY THEM WHAT THEY ARE EARNING. If labor costs are out of control management to put their big boy pants on and admit that they miscalculated future obligations that they AGREED to. We can go round and round all week on this but when you say the unions are the single biggest reason the Big 3 are in the financial shape they are in I just have to disagree and say that the reason the Big 3 are in the financial shape they are in today is because management miscalculated what the contracts they were agreeing to would cost them in the future. Been fun but I gotta go. Have a Happy Thanksgiving
