"Vertical Tillage" = LOL. Implements with significant gang angles and concave blades. Sounds real vertical to me. The standard disc often gets bashed pretty good around here but in the end the popular "vertical tillage" discs are getting close and closer to doing what the standard disc does. It's just you run the standard disc at 5-6 mph and the "vertical tillage" disc at 7-9 mph. Why can't everyone just say that the reason they like the CaseIH 330 or Sunflower 6630 disc is that they get to run around and chop and size corn stalks at 8 mph?
