North Dakota | we did a hay and spray, then ran a lawson areator over it ( try to do it in the fall so snow pack will soak in the ground next spring) then seeded soybeans into it the next spring. worked great. still alittle rough but it levels the ground enough and it opens it up enough to get air and water infiltration. think it costs around 8$ an acre to rent it here. our county extention has one and rents it out, tandem roller its a heavy load and it will move the back end of a big front end assist tractor around. we pulled it with our versitile. 16’ x 42” 270-300 hp 33,250 lbs empty / 50,524 lbs water-filled
we also used it on some crp with brush in it. mowed it with a woods mower then ran areator over it. chewed it up good and planted corn in it. brush is all rotten now and ground looks good. can fill drums with water. its a great tool. i got some more crp coming out and this is the rout i am going again.

haukaas also makes a leveling shovel. have no experience with them just heard of them, there designed for leveling mounds off in hay fields looks like a neat idea.
