Been there-- only with several of my nieghbors. My solution was to get a donkey
I took a video over to warn them what the donkey could do and asked them to please keep an eye on their dogs because I would hate for that to happen to them. Worked like a charm. there were a few dead dogs in the pasture over the years but it was out of my hands.
