| Back around 1978 I attended a basic programing class at the comunity college, using a Wang computer. I was hooked and bought a Commodore Pet. This is a 4K machine with a 40 character screen and uses music tapes to record the programs. I wrote one program to figure feed rations that used SB meal and a whole lot of other ingredients that came up with values as good as the company with their mainframe. I still have the computer in my basement.
I was featured in an article about how good I thought I had it with this computer, trouble was by the time the article came out a year later I was selling Commodore 8032 with disk drives, printers, and programs for $10,000.
I have lost count how many computers I have had since then.
