| First computers I messed with were Apple IIE's at school. I remember the first modem I ever saw - one where you stuck a telephone handpiece into rubber cups. The IIE's were in the school library - I asked what that thing was. Librarian said it allowed two computers to "talk" to each other over the phone lines. I thought at the time "What a dumb idea! What would two computers need to communicate for?" Now look at us! ;)
My own computer lineup started with a 64K Atari hooked up to an old B&W TV set.
Went from that to an Epson 8088 with two floppy drives, no HD.
Next was an IBM Model 30-286. Boy, I thought that was one mean machine at the time. Windows 2.0, color monitor, mouse, 20 MB HD, 640K of RAM!!
Next was a Hewlett Packard - first Pentium, 90 MHZ. This one got toasted by lightening after a couple of years of use.
Had a couple of HP's next.
Next was a Dell, bought about 6 yrs ago, still in service.
Used Mac Mini - bought off of eBay. Folks have this computer now.
Current is a 24" iMac 2.4 GHZ Core 2 Duo. Had this a bit over 2 yrs now.
