Doesn't surprise me that Scobey is getting fiber. It is a happening place, the last few years. Nemont Telephone has expanded a bunch and Scobey is the HQs. Also a lot of govt money and workers being poured into the little town, with the new Border Patrol station and all the associated workers. A real housing and real estate boom there, due to the influx of workers and high paying jobs. I think Nemont started burying last mile fiber in the area north of Opheim and is working their way eastward. High price of Cu in the last couple of years, made their decision to go with the glass a bit easier.
