Can you imagine the infrastructure it would take to move that energy throughout the United States? It would take infinitesimally more infrastructure due to voltage drop and routing to account for geographic variances in power usage. There are so many more factors involved it is hard to quantify what it would take and what the cost would be.


They already have major transmission lines that move power hundreds of miles.
Hoover dam and others were built in the middle of nowhere and they figured out how to move that power.
