Subject: RE: The Tractor or Piece of Equipment That Broke The Farm

St.Clair Co. IL.

mine was a 190XT allis, had the choice of a 4020 or the 190, Dad had all allis. after I replaced three rear ends, the motor finally let go shot a rod out the side, figured that was it NEW COLOR coming, but the allis dealer gave me one hell of a deal on a 200 last yr. built and that tractor was GREAT ! no issues other than over haul and tires.
Dad had a D-19 diesel that was a bad investment, could not keep head gaskets in it, no matter what they (dealer) did it would blow, the last time was at he dealers on a dyno and pow she blew again NEW COLOR COMING ! but again the dealer gave him a great deal on a  new that year, 180 that too turned out to be one great tractor, over haul and tires is all that tractor ever got, O yea did have to rebuild the trans. twice but that was our fault for grinding it into third,
I guess everyone makes bad equipment, but if one piece takes you down, your doing something else wrong.
