Subject: Fringe vs corn belt

South West MN
Below it was stated fringe would loose corn acres first but is this so?

A lot of the cost are based on total bushels not bushels per acre.

Fertilizer, combining, trucking and drying are a price per bushel cost. Rent, taxes, Tillage, chemical and planting are a per acre cost. Seed sort of falls in the middle. No one plants 33,000 of smartstax hoping for 150 bushel corn.

The biggest problem the "fringe" has is basis. But for an enduser this is a pluss.

Someone with more time should put this on a spread sheet and get back to me. You know who you are.
