| Take a tape measure and walk through the house every day if you can while it is being built and exam the days progress, regardless if you are the general contractor or not, a lot of things not right can be caught and fixed easily at this time. If you are planning on keeping this house long term, I would think twice before using I-Joists for floor joists. I used heavy 2x lumber and would again if making that decision today. A "little" water damage can be a big deal on I-Joists. | |
