Bloomington and Putnam IL | Good luck with your goal of running a 5K this summer! My first 9 or 10 seemed like death marchs struggling to finish without walking a step (still have never walked a step during a race or a training run despite my mind always telling me it's time to quit when the lugs or legs are burning). Now can run 7:15 miles during a 5K without much trouble. Started at 190 and at 156 today. It takes a while but if you stick with it you'll end up with a ripped runners body and be able to beat most of the runners who are half your age. |
