If your family and friends are willing to work with you, that sounds like a good plan.

I understand about dryer size. We can get in the same situation as you in a wet fall that the dryer can't keep up, but how big do you make something for one year out of ten?

I think I understand your question about final moisture, and I don't believe you will get much variation, probably less than .25% MC. Steeping is more about slowly letting the moisture get out of the kernel and saving fan power than it is about final moisture. If your airstreams are close to 100% RH, both from the dryer and the bin, you are being efficient as you can be.

During the fun filled fall of 2009, washed screens about every day. Other years, once every 10 days or so. Takes me longer to drag the hose over than to actually wash it.
