ncia | I've farmed for a long time and just last couple years started helping with our small garden. Last few years, we have nice looking, healthy tomato plants, but not that great of a crop. what are we doing wrong?? Couple things , our garden is in the shade in the afternoon (that should really be a good thing), put solid hog manure on and till in, (doesn't seem like too much), and always mulch around tomatoes with oat straw at planting. One neighbor told me that they "pinch off" bigger tomato plants to force production. | |
