It can't be very common for the cattle market to puke it's guts when the beef market is at extremely high levels, can it?
Maybe not but too many cattle in the yards is the problem
They ain’t beef until it’s in a box.
FWIW A year ago while packing plants were shut down the hog market was in the crapper while the pork cutout market was close to record highs. The hog market puked it’s guts out and has been rallying ever since.
Cattle weren’t forced to market a year ago like hogs were. They just went on a slower diet.
