Subject: RE: Planter speed.

Elsmore, Kansas
Planted all my corn at 6.5 w the exception of 15 acres when I was trying to beat the rain and ran 8.5. Stock Case Ih 1255 planter and have picket fence corn stands. Ground worked up amazingly this yr though. Last yr I planted corn at 5.8 to 6 and got a great stand. Usually plant notill beans at 7. These never planters will plant quite well if the seedbeds are good. The true test to planter speed is all about ground conditions. If the ground is hard and rough u just have to slow down and give the planter time to work.
