Kettle Moraine, WI | Egg prices are holding things back too. Demand destruction setting in a little I think. The run up in prices on a percentage of price and nearly in dollars per bushel of org vs cnv corn and beans has organic lagging in this run up. I think some "in it for the money" organic guys are pushing the pencil to jump ship with ability to lock in 2 good years of cnv prices. I always worry when organic price gets to close to conventional price and I do see that happening in $28 organic vs $20 cnv milk and $1 organic egg price. Organic doesn't have the multiple price of conventional but we are getting good prices and should lower organic acres leading to long term price stability.
