Roanoke, IN | If you are not profitable at today's prices, you probably shouldn't be organic farming. If you are chasing the highest gross today without a thought for tomorrow, you probably shouldn't be organic farming.
Historical organic prices have been about 2x conventional. I don't see that trend changing soon, but there will certainly be short term anomalies. It wasn't that long ago organic corn was 3x. It's hard to time the market. That's what bins are for.
The easy $$$ crowd will drop acres this year. How much is yet to be seen. | |
