NS Canada | Nowadays you hear big numbers like a million thrown around, but I don't know of any paying that. Several years ago 500k would get you into it. But as with anything the gov't has things fkd up - they are buying up gears and licenses to give to the natives and causing all sorts of problems.
In decades past 10k could have got you into it no problem, boat, gear, license and paid your help for the season. Now lobster is worth big money. Crab even more. I know guys landing 150k worth of crab a day.
