Yes you could plug it in there and leave it but you would need a can extension cable and another tee because you need to keep that terminator on the line. If you remove the terminator and just plug the module in the system will not recognize anything. It needs that terminator to know where the end of the can bus line is.


Yes, this is correct. You would need another short CAN extension and another Tee. The App rate module would be plugged into the Tee where the terminator was located. The terminator would be moved further down the line and be installed at the last tee before the App Rate Module. The order of the module connections is not important but it is best to have the terminator on the most "distant" one which is sort of how the wiring lays out anyway. There is no preference to the branch order on the Tees since the corresponding pins are wired in parallel. I'm not sure why one branch of the tee is a different color.
