Subject: RE: Multi year sales

SE North Dakota
I think some of us are old enough to remember what happened in 08 and especially 12. All the talk of we will never see corn under $4 and beans under 12 and we all got caught up in not contracting 2 years out and when the prices dropped we held onto the grain for 2 more years and sold it way way way less than if a guy had contracted to 13 and 14 crop years. He has a good point on looking at 22 crop I have been looking at that also. $4.50 cash for June of 22 ain’t all bad. We all know everyone is going fence row to fence row corn this year and even if a average crop the extra acres will make up. I just remember thinking when corn was $6.25 and 13 crop was $4.50 and that wasn’t good enough and ended up with $3.80 the next year. Don’t get caught up in this guys like I did.
