Probably why grandma and mom had huge gardens a block long and fed many of the poor neighbors. My doctor as a kid said many times that if not for grandmas garden they would have starved. And she never owned a garden hose, all hand watered with a bucket.
Basements and cupboards were kept so full they pulled from the walls. As well as 2 chest freezers. And my kids don’t understand when I save stuff for repurpose | |
