Central WA | Now, maybe, we are getting somewhere...... There are 11 official languages in The Republic of South Africa. The two spoken by the most people are Zulu and Xhosa. Those two indigenous groups regularly made war on each other and enslaved each other and other native tribes for centuries before the Dutch arrived. Slavery was normative in much of the world for centuries. Something that most people have a hard time wrapping their heads around is that it was the Judeo-Christian ethos which eventually led to the move to end slavery. Arabs, Africans, South Asians and others were late comers to the effort. Take it for what it is worth.....
