Higher compression means more thrust of the piston against the cylinder walls, more pressure of the rings against the walls


Why? I'm with Bern, the rings are preloaded against the sleeve walls. Compression tries to get between the ring and the wall, not push the ring out harder against the wall. The pistons shouldn't be dragging on the sleeve walls.....
