Is that a commodity trading account? My wife and I have an IRA and another not tax advantaged trading account - no puts or calls or anything I don't understand. Just equity positions in stocks and ETFs. Unless Im doing something wrong, we do not pay tax on unrealized gains or utilize unrealized losses to offset earned income. Does the 'snapsohot at year end' apply to commodity trading accounts only?
