| Last refrigerator I had that failed, tech told me they were lasting about six years and were designed to be unrepairable. This was a $2500 maytag.
Did some reading, Consumer Reports says that Whirlpool Gold has the lowest incidence of repair needed. I started buying buying them based on that. Have three of them now, oldest is 12 years with no problems yet.
Whirlpool owns and builds Maytag, Kitchenaid, Whirlpool, and Whirlpool Gold brands and builds them to sell at different price points.
Pick your price point and go.
Oh, friend of mine has a 2 year old Samsung fridge, says it is the worst ever. Icemaker crapped and they won't fix it. | |
