S.C. Wisconsin | One of the first times I used the self checkout at a Walmart in Parker I laid my billfold down and forgot to pick it up. Not the best place to leave your wallet. I went back and of course it was gone and checked at the service center to see if a honest person turned it in. No such luck. I was beside myself and started heading back to Brenda when I got a phone call from a resale shop in Parker that someone found my billfold in their parking lot. We rushed back and it was all intact minus the cash. I called my credit card companies and cancelled my credit cards, but was sure glad to get it back. I lost a couple hundred bucks in the deal. But I didn't have anyone to blame but myself for being so careless. Needless to say I take more time checking out now and make sure everything is in place before I leave. | |
