Rip, intense covers and no till. I had a farm that was mowboard plowed when wet creating a hard pan and I went to covers and no till after and it took several years to get that hard pan broken. Now is one of my highest producing farms. If I had to do it all over again I would’ve ripped it and then went to covers and then Notilled from there. Covers and no till will break a hard pan over time.
How do you loosen up a hard pan area?
