We've tried the concrete thing but it's never worked for us with frost and ice in creek/ditch we get 1-2 years out of it before
it's lifted out and pretty much useless (we'd probably need to go down about 3'-4' from bottom of ditch to avoid frost
problems). The other thing is going up that high is the end walls would need to be held together from pushing out from
the weight going over the crossing. After many failed attempts we put longer/two culverts in and taper sides with 4"-6" rock.
Not sure if frost is as big of a problem in your area though.
