Floyd County, Iowa | I did that here a couple years ago. Last fall I tore them out and went back to a "Missouri crossing". It was washing out underneath and around the sides in high water, and the slope I put on the concrete on the upstream end just pushed the water over the top and washed out the rock. Was nice to have dry crossing, but just didn't work right.
My crossing is a bit larger than what you're talking, and I used 2- 20" pipeline tubes, 3/8" wall x 25' long. Concreted both ends, filled with 2" rock. Gotta find a home for the tubes now. | |
