E.Central MN | We had a culvert in the pasture for the cows to cross a small waterway, otherwise they kept going thru the same spot and it became a mud pit. Got tired of pulling the new calves out of the mud after they tried following their mamas across the waterway. It seemed like the ends of the culvert kept popping up after the cows walked across in the spring. That would force water to flow around it and wash it out. We put a screw in anchor on each side and then put a chain over the top of the plastic culvert to hold it in place. I guess we'll find out if it works when the snow melts and we start getting the heavy spring rains. | |
