I would MUCH rather pull start a truck that should have been plugged in than do the ether, jumper, charcoal thing!
Me too. It’s so much easier and smoother to get one going by towing when it’s dead cold and has been parked for months.
You can even pull them with the key off.

) The compression will "preheat" the cylinders. Then when you turn the key on, it will start and run much smoother, without all the misfiring and knocking that some diesels like to do when really cold.
