NE Oregon | Dad talks of a cow he used to have that hated her calf for nearly a week every year. Got her trained to where he would put a flank rope on her after she calved so he could make her stand still. First year he dealt with that he felt he couldn’t afford to not have the cow raise a calf if he could help it. Then she brought in the biggest calf that fall. Repeated the process every year. Always raised a bruiser and bred back.
