We have Mirafounts and Ritchies. I prefer the Ritchies over the Mirafounts. The cows splash a lot of water out of the Mirafounts and it was freezing on top when it was cold last week. I spent hours with propane heaters and torches thawing out waterers.
I don’t have electric run to some of my Ritchies, I use a cord and a timer when it gets cold and I need to run the heaters.
I’m seriously considering getting rid of the Mirafounts for something different.
I agree like the Ritchie's better then the mirafount's but going with cobett , going to leave the existing waters in but T in a freeze Miser right before the float valve and hopefully that'll keep them from freezing up
